One Smitten Mitten

Hey guys! To recap last week I learnt three different types of crochet knots including the half double, double, and triple knots. I actually ended up using the double crochet knot this week in my mini project. For my mini project I decided to make baby mittens, or “scratch mittens” if you prefer to call them that. I wanted to learn how to make them for a gift for my friends baby shower. Not only are they adorable, they are actually fairly easy to make. The first YouTube  video that I tried did not work out that well, it ended up looking like a mini top hat. But that didn’t stop me, I kept looking for other tutorials and finally found one  that worked.

Here is the link–> How To-Crochet Baby Scratch Mittens-Yarn Scrap Friday. If your interested in other crocheting video you can follower on YouTube @HappyBerryCrochet.

Next week I will have a finished product of two mittens and a hat. Hopefully all goes well and thanks for watching my progress! Have a great day

  1. Hey Brooklynn,

I really enjoyed reading your post. It’s cool thta you decided to do a mini project with the baby mittens. I really like the colours of yarn you used! They’re super cute for a baby. I also think it would’ve been funny to have the top hat haha. I can’t wait to see the finished project next week!

  2. Hey Brooklynn. I really like this post. It was clear and comprehensive. I like how you recapped at the beginning so someone who had not read the previous posts would be able to follow. Your video was well presented as well. The music complemented the video and gave it a fun feel. Looking forward to more!
